our cardboard tubes are the ideal choice.

Variety of sizes and options

We have cardboard tubes in different diameter options to suit your needs, whether you're a wholesaler sending large quantities or an e-retailer sending single items to individuals. The height of a tube is fully customisable while today we have some standard diameters. If you are looking for a non-standard diameter, we can probably arrange it by developing new tools or, depending on the volume, solve it in another way.

1-DELAD

A one-piece tube consists of a cardboard tube sealed at both ends with a metal or plastic cap. A one-piece tube can be lined with more materials than the 2 & 3 piece tube as it is not affected by the thickness of the lining material in the same way.

2-DELAD

A two-piece tube has two parts, an inner tube and an outer tube. The outer tube has a slightly larger diameter and is threaded over the inner tube. This variant usually has curled edges. A curled edge means that the edge of the tube is rounded off and thus locks the top and bottom plate.

3-DELAD

A three-piece tube has three parts, two outer tubes and an inner tube (collar/neck). If this had been a box and lid it would have been called a neckbox. This variant usually has curled edges. The inner tube is attached inside the lower outer tube. When the tube is assembled, it forms a uniform tube without level differences.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • What are typical uses of cardboard tubes?

  • Cardboard tubes are most commonly used when you want to package a round product, for example:

    • Beverage bottles
    • Snuff boxes
    • Perfume bottles
    • Something big that can be rolled up
    • Long narrow products

It has a wide range of uses and, thanks to its round shape, it also provides maximum protection; tubes are naturally durable due to their shape.

  • What sizes and formats are available?

  • There are some 'standard' formats:

    • The diameter of our tubes ranges from 38 mm to 150 mm in diameter.
    • The maximum height of the tube is 1000 mm (1 m).

We can make tubes in any format you want, but we may have to hand-make the tubes, which is a longer and more costly process.

  • Can you combine printing techniques on tubes (e.g. screen, offset)?

  • We can add most printing techniques to a tube, depending on the type of tube you want. If, for example, you want a simple tube with ordinary plastic or metal caps at the ends, you can cover the tube in virtually any material and use most printing techniques. If you want a tube with an inner and outer tube, there are factors that mean there are limitations mainly due to the thickness of the material that the tube will be covered in.

  • How does material choice affect sustainability?

  • This is a double question!

    • The shape of the tube makes the product very durable in terms of construction and the material you cover it with does not affect the stability of the product to any great extent.
    • Environmental sustainability depends entirely on what you choose to line the tube with. The core of the tube is made of cardboard and if you want to be environmentally conscious, you should choose to cover it in paper or leave it completely uncovered and then perhaps print directly on the tube without covering it.
